I3 Instrument Support Facility virtual event: "Capacity building in less developed regions through I3 Instrument - The role of innovation intermediaries"

The session will focus on how the Strand 2b of the Interregional Innovation Investment (I3) Instrument strengthens less developed regions by enhancing skills, institutional capacities, and strategic readiness of regional actors. Practical examples from regional authorities will illustrate the impact of capacity-building initiatives on regional innovation ecosystems and interregional collaboration.

This session will:

• Present how Strand 2b supports less developed regions in preparing investment-ready projects, sharing good practices, and connecting with advanced innovation ecosystems.
• Exchange challenges and effective approaches for capacity building in less developed regions, including practical implications for I3 Instrument-funded projects.
• Showcase concrete examples of successful capacity-building initiatives by some regional development agencies, including ADRAL (Portugal), MARR (Poland), and ADR NORD EST (Romania), demonstrating the strategic impact and tangible results of I3 Instrument support.
