Ahead of #EuropeDay on 9 May which celebrates the Schuman Declaration, the EU institutions traditionally hold festivities by opening their doors to the public. This year, they will open again their doors on Saturday 6 May from 10:00 to 18:00 !
EISMEA is happy to be involved in the celebrations with a stand at the Green Deal Village in the Berlaymont building, which will demonstrate how the European Union contributes to the realisation of the 5 EU Missions in Research and Innovation.
Young visitors, families, and any visitor will be able to meet three initiatives supported by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) of the European Commission:
1. NEVOMO
The EIC project Nevomo is invited in the framework of the EU Mission Cities. They will showcase their MagRail, a technology based on magnetic levitation, linear motor, and autonomous control systems that enables a quick transportation technology within railroads’ systems.

2. ReLearn
One of the winners of the of the Social Innovation Competition 2022, the Italian startup ReLearn is invited within the framework of the EU Mission Soil to demonstrate NANDO, a small sensor installed on existing bins that monitors the waste sorting very accurately through its artificial intelligence. 3. Untire
Dutch company Tired of cancer developed the Untire mobile app aiming to fight cancer related fatigue (CRF). They have been supported by the Enterprise Europe Network on the road to success, and are invited to showcase how the EU is contributing to the EU Mission Cancer.
