Description

General/Specific Objective(s):

The main objective of the Skill-for-tourism call for proposals is to support the upskilling and reskilling of the tourism ecosystem. Specifically, it focuses on enhancing data management and sharing capabilities through:

  • Development of guidelines to support the use of the D3Hub and the future European tourism data space for destinations and SMEs.
  • Supporting the transition of tourism SMEs and destinations towards more digital, data-driven, and sustainable practices.
  • Increasing access to training and upskilling opportunities for DMOs (Destination Management Organisations) and tourism SMEs.

Eligible Activities:

Eligible activities under this call include:

  • Coordination with EU initiatives like D3Hub and Cloud Data and Artificial Intelligence to ensure the flow of information.
  • Development and publication of guidelines for DMOs and SMEs on how to use data resources.
  • Communication and dissemination strategies to ensure widespread adoption of these guidelines.
  • Capacity-building measures like online/offline training, workshops, study visits, webinars, and awareness-raising activities to help DMOs and SMEs adopt digital tools and data management practices.
  • Organising at least 15 training opportunities for a balanced distribution of SMEs and destinations across EU member states.

Eligible Applicants:

Eligible applicants must:

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies) established in EU member states.
  • The consortia should consist of 3-7 applicants from 3-5 different EU countries.
  • The consortium must include at least one research or training institution specializing in tourism, one DMO, and one PR agency with expertise in EU-wide campaigns.

Available budget: The total available budget for the call is EUR 1 000 000.

Number of projects to be funded: One project will be funded under this call.

Maximum project duration: The maximum duration for the project is 24 months.
