HackTheBusiness series
It is a hackathon and business ideation competition promoted and organised as part of ENTREPRENEDU Project, funded by Horizon Europe, that challenges young students and professionals, as well as early-stage startups to team up and develop an innovative idea oriented for specific challenges and topics.
As part of the three events, up to 90 teams will have the opportunity to “hack the business” and tackle challenges and opportunities that can represent important business opportunities to be developed by participants. At the end, 12 winning teams (4 per event) will get the opportunity to be part of the ENTREPRENEDU innovative Mentoring & Coaching Program, where they will get all the support needed to level-up their business ideas.
Do not miss the next HackTheBusiness event in Sofia
Students, young professionals and early-stage startups will have a last opportunity to join the HackTheBusiness community and enter the ENTREPRENEDU journey. The event will take place in the Innovation Forum “John Atanasoff” at Sofia Tech Park (Sofia, Bulgaria) on 26 and 27 March. It will address sustainability and digitisation toward greener solutions as main topics. Challenges from diverse sectors will be tackled and teams are welcome to bring their innovative ideas, get help from ENTREPRENEDU’s experts and mentors, have the opportunity to participate in thematic workshops, and pitch their innovative idea to an international jury, while working on improving their entrepreneurial skills and having fun.
Participants will have the opportunity to be part of a business acceleration and mentoring programme, increase networking opportunities and professional growth, develop interdisciplinary skills and receive business recognition, prizes, and much more.

Past HackTheBusiness events
The first edition of HackTheBusiness, hosted by Fondazione E. Amaldi, was held in Rimini, Italy, from 16 to 18 June 2023, as part of the We Make Future event. During the three-day event, teams were challenged to address the DeepTech industry by proposing business ideas that represent a real revolution for DeepTech areas, such as SpaceTech, FoodTech or ClimateTech. As You Like, Shades of Blue S.r.l., Backwards Packaging, and Bobis SRL were the 4 winning teams of the first edition.
Hosted last November by Corallia in Athens, Greece, the focal point of the second edition of the HackTheBusiness event were pitching sessions, where 12 teams selected during the local competition presented their pioneering solutions aimed at transforming the innovative landscape in Europe. All teams showcased remarkable ingenuity, proposing disruptive ideas to a panel of esteemed judges by leveraging cutting-edge space technologies. The 4 winning teams of the second edition were MicroSatLab, Exke, Uniwa-Ice and Groundwater.
