‘Get Digital: Go Green & Be Resilient’ initiative: four companies awarded and launch of matchmaking series

Earlier today, the European Commission awarded the Get Digital initiative ‘best digital solution’ prize to Climate Choice, Dropslab, Eturnity and PoINT. The winning start-ups and SMEs operate in the digital, energy-renewables, energy-intensive, mobility and construction ecosystem. All solutions demonstrate high-impact potential to the greening and digitalisation of European industry. The four companies were selected from a catalogue of 62 identified European and Ukrainian companies across 16 Member States.Along with the top 10 solutions, these companies will get dedicated support services from the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and the membership at the European DIGITAL SME Alliance.

Selection of the winners

An independent jury of experts selected the winning companies. The jury consisted of Sergio Balassone from EIT Digital, Minerva Elias Franquesa from the European Investment Fund, Anthony Viellevoije from StartGreen Capital, Francesco Matteucci from EISMEA, and Jan Palasinski who works with the European Innovation Council. The Get Digital initiative was co-organised with the European Innovation Council (EIC) and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) and Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), alongside the European DIGITAL SME Alliance. The Commission will now launch the Get Digital matchmaking series, starting in 2023. The matchmaking series will focus on connecting further promising European digital start-ups and SMEs with potential business partners and industrial users. This market facilitation supports business development, competitiveness gains and sustainable transformation.

More updates on the matchmaking will follow. You can follow the Get Digital initiative on the website, the newsletter, or on Twitter.
