The Agency is responsible for developing and implementing the European Innovation Council and manages other EU programmes in the fields of SME support, innovation ecosystems, single market, consumer policy and interregional innovation investments.

The European Commission announced today the finalists of the 2027 European Capital of Innovation Awards (iCapital), celebrating the European cities that are leading the way in urban innovation and shaping more sustainable, inclusive and resilient communities
